Selection and maintenance of walkie-talkie batteries

Try to choose batteries that have high energy, long lifespan, low memory effect, and are environmentally friendly.
1. Operating temperature: -20°C to 60°C;
2. When replacing the battery, please check if the walkie-talkie is turned off. Do not insert or remove the battery while the walkie-talkie is on;
3. If the battery needs to be stored for a long time, please pre-charge it to about 50% capacity to help prevent performance degradation;
4. For the first three charges, try to charge for a full 16 hours to reduce memory effect; subsequent charging can be around 10 hours;
5. The battery can generally last about 8 hours under a usage condition of 5-5-90 (i.e., 5% transmitting signal, 5% receiving signal, 90% standby), but this may vary based on the battery's capacity, quality, and usage frequency.
6. The lifespan of a battery is generally measured by the number of charge-discharge cycles, but different brands of walkie-talkie batteries have different standards; for example, MOTO batteries have a minimum cycle count of 300.
7. For general nickel-hydride and nickel-cadmium batteries, it is essential to ensure that the walkie-talkie battery is completely discharged before each charge (i.e., it cannot transmit normally when pressing the walkie-talkie PTT button). Otherwise, it will cause memory effect in the walkie-talkie battery, significantly shortening its lifespan.
